Lingga Madu is the Co-Founder of Sorabel (previously known as Sale Stock). He started the company in Indonesia in 2014 together with his wife and Co-Founder, Ariza Novianti. In 2016, Lingga brought in Jeffrey Yuwono, (now the Co-Founder and CEO of Sorabel) who brings expertise and knowledge from his time studying and working abroad in the US.
Sorabel’s mission is to make fashion accessible and affordable to all Indonesians. With a population of 264 million, the company sought to develop and create quality products at an affordable price point for its customers, many of whom are from the emerging middle class.
Having dropped out twice from school (Raffles Institute and Gadjah Mada Medical School), Lingga started selling anime VCDs to make end meets. He then grew the business big enough to afford his college fees and completed his undergraduate degree in Computer Science at Duta Wacana Christian University with a perfect GPA.
He then continued his entrepreneurial journey by founding several other companies, ranging from software house, design firm, fund and waste management company before founding Sale Stock (now Sorabel) in 2014.
Lingga also holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration and Wealth Management from Gadjah Mada University.
